Born and raised in Watertown, Wisconsin, Chef Melissa Simon knows the rich agricultural and ethnic heritage of America’s Heartland. Her world travels, including two years she spent in China, have greatly influenced her culinary approach to Food. Upon retuning to the States, Chef Simon honed her skills in the catering world while working for Glen Market & Catering in Wisconsin, as well as, here in Nashville at the Bell South Tower.
Adding to her already extensive skill set, Chef Simon delved into the world of pastry as Pastry Chef at LP Field. Ever eager to continue her pursuit of culinary excellence, Chef Simon will graduate from the Art Institute of Nashville with a Degree in Culinary Arts with an emphasis on Baking & Pastry in March 2009. We, here at Red Restaurant, were ecstatic to have her come on Board as Chef in July 2008.
